~*~*~*~*~TGIF!!!~*~*~*~*~

A picture of South Lake, in the Adirondacks at Sherri's camp, stepping outside this morning reminded me of this picture, this was from our usual fall trip last year...

This hasnt been a bad week by any means...but I am sure glad its the weekend!~ Now if I could just hold out for work to be over! Its going to be a busy weekend and busy week next week. Monday is lunch with Nicole, and Snackbar has a follow up at the vet in the afternoon. Wednesday I have a doctor's appointment at 7:15...32 week check up, Thursday I have a BBQ at work and then Friday I have off!!! YAY!!! Although this wont be a relaxing day off...Mom (Kennie's Mom) and I are cleaning the house for the shower. Lisa (Kennie's step mom) will be here from Florida and Shannon in coming from Buffalo Saturday morning. Elisa (Kennie's sister) will also be in on Saturday. I really cant wait to have a fun weekend with all the girls!!

Also, this morning I step out in the very chilly air to let the dogs out...I think they were even surprised at the chilly temps. It frosted last night, but its very nice in the 70's today! I just love this weather. We are camping and four wheeling tomorrow, and I get to spend my last night in a tent probably for a long time, although I would rather sleep in my bed, I know it will be nice sleeping under the stars in the crisp weather! I hope everyone has a great weekend...more updates after my doctors appt this week...I feel like I've gained another 10 pounds...

30 Weeks and Counting...Lots of stuff going on!

I swear I was going to sit down last Wednesday and post this blog, but I just have been too busy! So heres an update! Last Wednesday (9/10) I was 30 weeks and had my doctors appt. Nothing new to report, thats very exciting except I gained 4 pounds in 2 weeks! Now up total 21 pounds. Pretty routine appt, and I go back next week on 9/24...time is really flying now!

This past weekend, Kennie and I had our childbirth classes at Crouse Hospital. It was Friday from 6:30-9 then Saturday 8:30-4..I thought it was going to be very long and boring, but we actually had a lot of fun. We feel so much better informed and prepared now. Saturday there was a tour of the Maternity ward, and the hospital, which was nice because now we know where to go and where everything will take place. We have started discussing the way we are going to approach the whole labor process and Kennie as my labor coach, has a lot of practice to get me to do and also has to pack his coach's bag...I had no idea it was going to be fun, and such a bonding experience for Kennie and I..

The baby's room is finally complete!!! Well 98 % in my book. I have a few finishing touches and I promise to post pictures in the up coming days. We both feel thats a huge weight off our shoulders having it done, and we LOVE the way it turned out. I find myself relaxing in there often. I know there will soon be a day that, no relaxing will be taking place in there!
Tomorrow is 31 weeks already! Time is going by so fast, especially when we have been so busy getting things ready...My shower is next weekend, and I'm soo looking forward to spending time with Shannon on Saturday and everyone on Sunday. Lisa is coming in on Friday from Florida...so we get to spend time with her also! Its been a lot of work getting the house ready but all worth it!

Enjoy the new pics!

Snackbar is getting a little better...but her shoulder is still hurting, we are hoping its just healing slow...she has a follow up at the vet on 9/22...

I cant believe I'm sharing this...I feel HUGE!!

Wrapping up the summer.....Onto my next favorite season!

This weekend, was officially the end of summer in my book. Although the weather doesn't show it, labor day weekend has always made me feel that summer is officially in the books, and this year was no different.
Friday we kicked off the weekend heading to Oswego to catch the races. It was a great night, and good to catch up with everyone. Although I dont attend the races like I used to, and there are a lot of things that have changed that I still dont accept, I still get the same feeling seeing the car on the track. Although the car was running good, a broken shock brought the night to an end. By the time Kennie and I headed out to the car, I was very sore from standing and walking all night, but had to visit my favorite sub shop in Oswego. By the time we got home it was 12:30 and I sitting in bed enjoying my sub, and asleep within minutes of hitting the pillow.

One of my favorite places on earth...although I think the "Good Old Days" are gone...

Bobby waiting to take the car onto the track...

Saturday started with work on the baby's room and an afternoon at the State Fair. A yearly tradition! We took Kennie's mom and we had a great time. By 6:30 we were back in the car, stuffed from all the great food and exhausted! I would have liked to see more, but my legs were not all about the walking! We had a few friends over Saturday night for a bon fire, and still had 2 more days of no work to look forward too!!

Kennie...putting the first coat on...its almost done!

The rest of the weekend we worked around the house...Labor Day Kennie's mom came over and we had spare ribs, sweet corn and salt potato's and hit the couch for the evening to rest up after the busy weekend! All in all, it was a great weekend and a great way to end the Summer of 2008!

Our poor girl Snackbar isnt feeling well. We visited the vet on Tuesday and she has something going on with her shoulder. They ruled out bone cancer, or a fracture, but just very irritated tissue seems to be the issue. We are icing it 3x a day and starting anti inflammatory on the 10th..so its a waiting game until then to see if it heals. Right now she is on pain meds, unitl the aspirin we gave her gets out of her system, then we can start the anti inflammatory. I really hope that does the trick, it breaks my heart to see her in pain. She has been in good spirits though, other then hobbling around the house on 3 legs...

Snackie getting her shoulder iced down and enjoying a peanut butter bone! Its a great distraction!

I arrived home after work one day this week to find a shower gift from Kellie in Oklahoma. Kellie is actually a friend of Shannon's from Colorado, but Kellie and I got to hang out for a few days back in 2004 for Shannons wedding. Although we have never spent any other time together, I feel there has always been a bond and a friendship formed. If Kellie, Shannon and I ever had the opportunity to live in the same state or even driving distance, I know we would be spending a ton of time together, we all have a lot in common! She is such a sweetheart, she ordered my diaper bag off my registry and had it shipped to me! It was a great surprise, and made my week, after being down about my injured pet. So...thank you VERY VERY much Kellie, I wish you could be at the shower too, but once the baby gets here, your gift will be going everywhere with us, like a little piece of you!

Kennie is even excited...he loves the brown and green!

So, tomorrow ends another week...Dad and I are going to be working on the chair rail this weekend, so hopefully I can pass some new pictures along of the baby room!

We hope everyone enjoyed their holiday weekend, and the end of summer as much as we did! Make sure to enjoy every minute of fall, as those snowflakes are right around the bend!
