28 Weeks...7 Months...2 Year Anniversary!

Not too much to report here...which is a good thing! Tuesday I had my Gestational Diabetes test, and another lab panel and all the results are good! I am very relieved! It was a pretty routine appt, and now I will start going every 2 weeks. Thats scary because I know we are getting towards the end! I am up another 4 pounds, which makes 17 total, and the doctor said thats right on track and I should be around 25-30 total gained at the end. I'm really hoping to stay around the 25 mark!

Tuesday was also mine and Kennie's 2nd Anniversary!! Its amazing how fast the time goes. Last year we celebrated by spending the weekend in Old Forge and Lake Placid, the Adirondacks mean so much to our relationship, as it was were we spent out first few weekends together, where we got engaged and where we went on our honeymoon. I was disappointed this year to not be able to make the trip up there, but we have to start scaling things down a little! I'm hoping to make it to Old Forge this fall to check out the leaves! We spent the evening together and went out to dinner at Sylvan Beach, followed by my new obsession, Ice Cream. We were home in bed by 10...We dont make it past 10 these days! It was weird knowing that this will be our last anniversary alone for many years! But we are excited for the new adventure that only makes our love for each other grow stronger!

Last night I went to Dinner w/my parents and Greg & Cindy from Las Vegas. Greg and Cindy were our neighbors in Buffalo and they moved to LV 14 years ago. They drove out for the day while visiting Buffalo to see my parents, and it was nice to go to dinner and catch up and talk about old time! Cindy is also a moose lover and gave me a new stuffed moose to add to my collection!

Tonight we have a Wine meeting w/the girls at work(although I will be consuming ginger ale), tomorrow is the ISMA race at Oswego, and then finally the 3 day weekend we have all been waiting for! I'm sure there wont be any dull moments! Everyone have a safe and enjoyable Labor Day Weekend!

Back Home to a Busy Week!

We returned yesterday afternoon from our 3 day camping and four wheeling trip. It felt so good to be home, I wasnt in the house for 5 minutes and I was in the shower...I did use our friends camp shower, which was nice to wash off, but I desperately needed to relax in my shower, and I felt so much better once I was squeaky clean!

All in all, it was an awesome weekend. We couldnt have asked for better weather, as its was sunny all 3 days with no rain. An unusual occurrence this summer. There were a few stressful moments on the way down to PA and the way back home, but while we were there everyone had a great time. Kennie met a guy Roger from Tennessee with a really cool truck, and boy did Roger put on a show for everyone, rolling his truck twice in 1 day. As this was kind of Kennie's weekend, he really had a great time, and it was nice knowing that he really enjoyed himself!

This week is going to be busy...tonight I'm catching up on chores, tomorrow is our Anniversary which we plan on doing something, but we are going to wait to see what the weather brings and what time Kennie is off from work. I also have a doctors appointment tomorrow morning, and have to get the Gestational Diabetes test done, so I have to drink the yucky stuff in the morning! Thursday I have a Wine get together with the ladies at work...I will be consuming ginger ale though, but maybe a little taste of wine, then Friday is off to the races at Oswego and Labor day weekend begins...I cant believe its the end of summer already...I will update tomorrow after my appointment!

Kennie's new friend Roger...this guy wasnt scared of anything!

Getting Ready for the Big Trip...

We are scheduled to leave Thursday for the big camping trip of the summer. We are packing up and taking Kennies Toyota to Rausch Creek, Pennsylvania to spend a few days four wheeling, with our big group of friends also going. Surprisingly we are very ahead of schedule as far as packing goes. I am addicted to the Coleman website as they have some really great checklists and camping gear. Although I try to keep the credit card in my purse when I go on that website, because I could be very bad! They have everything you can think of to make camping comfortable and easier, but I constantly struggle with trying to consolidate our camping gear, and not getting the new gadget. We defiantly don't go any roughing it...and I hope to include pics later on of our campsite. So far the weather looks great for the weekend, and if everything keeps going on track ( I hope I'm not jinxing myself) We should be on the road down Interstate 81 Thursday afternoon, and BBQing over the campfire on Thursday evening. I must say, I was never totally into the camping thing when I was younger, but I totally enjoy it now, and can wait to take the baby on their first adventure sleeping under the stars next summer!

Back to Blogging...or so I hope!

I know, I've been a bad blogger...things have been very crazy around here so heres a recap of whats been going on.

On a side note before I get started...I am totally having the best few days lately. I have been very productive in getting things done and organized, which has put me in the best mood ever! I am sitting in Florida room enjoying my coffee and breakfast, and thinking what a great way to start the weekend!

Last weekend, on Friday night, Kennie and I finally made it to Mike and Stacy's to meet Christopher Michael. It was very cool, and emotional for me! It was nice to get the whole scoop from Stacy on the whole experience, and bond with Christopher. He is so cute and tiny!! I'm so glad that our kids are going to grow up together! Saturday morning, I made the long overdue trip to Shannons in Buffalo. I left early Saturday morning, and went to the jewelers in Williamsville to get my rings checked and cleaned, and then off to the Conorozzo house. We spent the rest of the morning hanging out with the kids, and then it was off to Dad & Beth's to check out the new Log cabin and see everyone. We managed to leave Tuscan with Nana, so we only had the twins for the afternoon. We then stopped at Super Cuts to see Shannon's mom and then it was off to Louie's for a Buffalo Slime Dog...(a hot dog w/texas hot sauce) and very good and very cheap lunch, that brought back memories of our younger years and being out until the wee hours of the morning. By this time it was 5 pm and we were back to the house to go through baby stuff and hang out...well we didnt do much "hanging out".....by the time we fed the twins and put them to bed, cut and colored my hair, went through baby stuff and worked on invitations, it was very late, but we finished the night off with great pasta that Frank brought home from the restaurant. Sunday morning, we were on the road again to the outlet mall in Waterloo..with my truck FULL of baby stuff from Shannon...if this baby is a boy...he will be outfitted for the next 5 years of this life from hand me downs from her boys! And if its a girl...she might be a little tom boyish!
We got some great deals at the outlets, for both of us, the husbands and the babies...another trip for her and I came to and end, and we headed back in out different directions. Something that we have gotten used to in the past years of our life, but something that still doesn't seem right. In all reality us being 2 hours apart isnt that far away, but its the days where you just want to swing by each others house to go shopping, or run errands together, or meet for lunch, that make you realize that 2 hours isnt that close either. But I think now because we both have families, we will be spending a lot of time in Rochester and the distance wont be so far...

Some purchases from the outlets...the green moose one might be a going home from the hospital outfit...

This is were I found Longie this week during a thunderstorm...hiding and very scared in the bath tub

A 26 week belly picture...still growing!

The Twins..Vincenzo and Matteo

All the baby stuff from Shannon...3 totes of clothes and misc. stuff, a papasan chair and swing! We are very lucky to have her!

Syracuse Farmers Market...and donuts!!

I am fortunate enough to work about 5 minutes from our regional farmers market! I headed down there today on lunch to get a few things. I really enjoy going on Saturday mornings, but I cant justify driving out to the city if I dont have other places to go. But they are open during the day on Thursday, so I usually head over to get some fresh veggies. My plan next summer is to go on a weekly basis and get fresh stuff to make baby food...but we'll see what happens! I got Kennie a ton of radishes, and I got fresh flowers for myself! Also, I cant leave there without the famous fresh Cinnamon donuts! I bought 1/2 dozen and barley made it back to work without breaking into the bag...it was a nice way to finish off my lunch hour!

Last night I started painting the bottom portion of the walls in the baby's room. I was a little frustrated because I dont know if I like "Bear Rug Brown"...but hopefully after I get a few more coats on, and its covered good I will like it better. I think I'm just being my usual picky pregnant lady! I also purchased a very cute star mobile for the crib...although it doesn't fit that good on the crib, I may just hang it on the ceiling.

Just 1 more day and I will be on the way to Buffalo to spend the day and evening with Shannon and the boys....I am really looking forward to it!

25 Week Check Up

Well, I arrived at the doctors this morning still feeling under the weather, not a good way to start off a new week. I had to drag myself out of bed, and if I didnt have an appt, I probably would have considered calling into work, but I didnt want to deal with rescheduling my appt.

Once again, I have been blessed and everything is looking great. I have gained another 5 pounds since my last appt, making a grand total of 13. Which according to what I have read is right on target, but who knows where that info comes from. I'm just glad I havent gained too much, as I think its starting to come on fast! Baby's heart rate was great, and it such a sweet sound to hear. I am really starting to get emotional because I was holding back tears. Other than discussing a few things, it was a simple visit. I have my Glucose test scheduled and then starting Sept. 10 I start going every 2 weeks...that scares me, because that means we are getting closer to the end!

All in all, I have been very lucky with this pregnancy. There have been a few moments when I havent felt good, but the majority of the time has been good. I'm just praying our little one is growing and thriving and will be a healthy happy baby in November!

Thats all for now...Im headed home for the couch to kick this cold!

This weekends coming to an end...

Another weekend in the books! Just a quick update. Although I was really going to be productive this weekend, it didnt happen. After a crazy week of registering, the calm bake on Thursday and Paula's jewelry party on Friday, I woke up Saturday morning with a sinus issue. They were running down my throat making that sore. I did manage to get to the store, but was exhausted by the time I got back. I really did want to visit Carrie and Keara who were camping at Sylvan Beach, but I didnt want to leave and risk over doing it again. So I spent the rest of the day on the couch, watching TV and going through magazines, in between loads of laundry. It wasnt a complete wash of a day, but I surly wasnt feeling well and it put me in a bad mood! I did talk to Stacy, and was excited to hear Christoper's little cries in the background, now I just need to be healthy so we can get over there and see him!!
Today started with breakfast and cooking a HUGE pot of Chili. I am starting to make meals that I can freeze so when the baby comes, I can just pull them out and heat them up! I finally got the house cleaned, it was a disaster and did some sun tanning with my book. I also put a big dent painting the closet in the baby's room, and I'm going to finish that tomorrow! Also Patti is back from the Outer Banks and came over to visit with souvenirs for the baby! Kennie LOVES the bib!
All in all, it wasnt a waste of a weekend, I just didnt actaually get paint on the walls of the baby's room, but I'm hoping a few nights this week I can work on it! I'm starting to feel a little better, so hopefully by morning whatever I had is gone. I think its also a warning that I cant be running around multiple nights in a row and getting to bed late! The next few weeks should be pretty calm...I'm going to Buffalo this weekend to Shannons and I'm sooo looking forward to spending time with her and the kids!

Heres a 24wk belly picture...I have an appt tomorrow....will update soon!
