Back to another crazy week!

After coming off another great weekend, its hard to get back to the grind and focused again on Mondays! This weekend was packed full of great events and memories. We are so lucky and blessed to have such full and exciting lives...
Saturday was Stacy's baby shower, which I had been looking forward to. I'm so glad she gets to do all this first so I can learn from her. I picked up Jackie and we stopped at Burlington Coat Factory to check out the cribs at Baby Depot there. I had already spent and evening with Kennie and we narrowed it down to 1 that we liked. I was bringing Jackie for her opinion. While we were there, I we ended up going over to the mark down isle and the original plan went out the window. There was a $500 dresser marked down to $240...Needless to say we changed crib and dresser designs and went with this one! It was a MUCH nicer dresser and crib. Its so huge, it could be used as a buffet also. So on the spot we made the purchase...Both items, with a 10% coupon for $531 w/tax...we couldn't beat it! Now we just have to pick it up...and Kennie is excited to just have a crib to put together and not a dresser also! My grandma Alice worked at that store for a while...and I know that was her watching over us that day and giving us her special discount! I'm just sooo glad crib shopping is done! And yes....Stacy's shower was awesome...my day was going too good!

Sunday we spent the day with the Conorozzo Clan....Shannon, Frank, Tuscan, Matteo and Vincenzo came from Buffalo to spend the day with us. We meet at the zoo and had a great time. It was soo awesome to see Tuscan so into all the animals...After some stops we finally made it home before the rain and got everyone into the house. We have an enjoyable afternoon catching up on scrapbooks and playing with the kids. We got Tuscan a tent set for his birthday and it was soooo fun watching him play and loving his new present. My "hand me down angel" Shannon of course came with all kinds of goodies..Diapers, cereal, and a HUGE bag of maternity clothes...I am so lucky to have her, and it was so great to spend the day together! In the past our friendship has had rocky points, but once again we picked up and everything is going great and our friendship is thriving again!
The big corporate challenge is tomorrow, and I would like to get a few more things around the house taken care of, so this weekend I can enjoy the backyard for once!

Here are a few pics from the past week...

We are really enjoying the new swing!

Catching UP!

After spending a weekend in the woods, I have been playing catch up since we got back on Sunday. I took Friday off to sleep in, clean the house and get the gear loaded and head to the campsite. It was a long morning, and by the time everything was done, I was ready for a nap! There also wasn't much room in the Runner for the dogs after the camping gear was packed, so it was hard getting everyone in the truck and happy! I think we are either going to need a bigger truck, smaller dogs, or a trailer to haul everything when the baby comes!

Kennie actually met me at the site at 4 pm, which is unusual because I am usually stuck setting up by myself, so this time it was nice to have help! I so enjoy camping in the middle of no where and sleeping in the tent! It was a little hot this weekend, but no huge rain storms, and no huge incidents, except Chad loosing his brakes on a hill and crashing into a tree at 30! Both him and Rachel are OK, the truck was a little damaged, but he was able to get it running and use it the rest of the weekend! Mom, Bill (her new boy toy) and Elisa came up on Saturday to visit, and had a great time! Also Kennie finally conqured a hill that gave him bad luck last year. He was the only one to make it up under his own power...so for now its called "Kennie Hill"

It was nice to finally get home on Sunday and jump in the pool to cool off, then it was off to Jackie and Donny's for fathers day! I think all the fathers in my life enjoyed their day! I know Kennie surely enjoyed his weekend in the woods, camping and four wheeling! Now its back to work and the usual weekly routine. I did get my new swing last night...my birthday present...its almost put together...maybe some pics will be posted tonight!....and finally its a little cooler this week!!

June 11.....~17 Weeks~

Just a quick update...things have been busy around here! Between trying to stay cool still and getting ready for our first camping weekend of the year, there hasn't been much time for relaxing!

Yesterday was my 16 week check up. Of course for the second time in the last 2 months, I totally forgot about my appointment until I was in the shower and already late! I only ended up being 15 minutes late, and the nurses were laughing at my "pregnancy brain"! Just not a good way to start the morning! Everything looks great! It just was a quick visit to go over everything. I have only gained 2 pounds so far, which is awesome considering what I have been eating! The doctor did fore warn me, that number is going to start creeping up fast! I heard the heartbeat, 150-160 bpm and strong! Our next appt. is 7/7 and thats the anatomy Sono! Kennie is very excited! Although at that point, we would be able to find out what we are having...but we are still going to not find out and be surprised! I am so relived that I'm feeling great and the baby seems to be also doing well...
Here is my 17wk belly pic....I'm really starting to grow!
And here is what is going on with the little bean from Babycenter.com....
Your baby's skeleton is changing from soft cartilage to bone, and the umbilical cord — her lifeline to the placenta — is growing stronger and thicker. Your baby weighs 5 ounces now (about as much as a turnip), and she's around 5 inches long from head to bottom. She can move her joints, and her sweat glands are starting to develop.
Everyone enjoy the rest of the week, the weekend is almost here and tomorrow is actually my Friday! Love to all!

Hot, Hot Hot!! 95 +

The HOT summer weather is here! Today's temperate is 94 degrees! Thank god the humidity had held off a little. This weekend was almost unbearable. I was off to Home Depot on Friday to buy an air conditioner, and Kennie installed it when I got home and the 4 of us were totally at peace to sleep Friday night. Even the girls felt the relief, as they watched Kennie putting it in the window patiently. I was happy that I bought a pool earlier in the week, so we could work on getting it up and filled with water. Its currently filled and hopefully heating up with the solar cover on! We did take a dip last night but we only we into up to our knees as it was still a little chilly!

Having the pool and the AC are not only a HUGE relief to this pregnancy lady, but also to Kennie who is usually stuck outside working on the hot pavement on days like today. He usually calls me at work, while I am comfortable in my air conditioned office and he is dying in the heat...At least the trucks have AC and they can get out of the sun! I would be lost if my office didn't have AC, and my truck too!

So we are trying to beat the heat...I'm sure you will find us many nights in the pool, which was a great purchase for the summer....pics to come soon! Everyone stay cool....its supposed to break in a few days!

No sleep...I know its only the beginning!

As you can see....there are wonderful thunderstorms in the forecast for the next 4 days. Last night we had a really bad storm, and if any of you own a dog that doesn't like thunderstorms you can relate to my lack of sleep.
My poor Longie, is a mess when a storm is brewing. She woke me up around 1 this morning because there was thunder in the distance. She usually is a Daddy's girl, but when it storms she is always stuck to my side. She paces back and forth and tries to get into small spaces. Its a nightmare trying to sleep. I feel so bad for her, because there is nothing you can do to calm her down. Even if you put her in bed, it only last a few minutes and she is back on the floor pacing around and panting. I ended up on the couch, because I cant deal with it right now. I need my sleep, knowing that the sleepless nights are just around the corner! Of course I was on the couch for like 3 minutes and Snackie was staring in my face wanting to know why I wasn't in bed. After a 2 hour storm I finally fell back asleep!
After a call to the vet this morning, a stop at the store for some Benedryl is going to take place on my way home. The vet said 5 25mg pills should do the trick to knock her out and keep us both calm and happy....we will see what happens tonight and I will keep you posted! This is only the beginning of sleepless thunderstorm nights in my life!

Finally...connected again! A recap of the end of May to June 5th!

Well everyone, I'm finally connected again! I was having major issues with our Internet connection at home, and I was lost with out the Internet...so here a recap of the past few weeks! Enjoy!
Memorial Day Weekend....Was great fun! A lot of projects around the house and relaxing. We went to the drive in on Sunday night and it was a really good time. 2 movies for $14 bucks and you get to hang out in the comfort of your own car and bring your own snacks, you can't beat it! Monday we went to the annual parade, and got to catch up with the Penoyer's and a few other friends, and then it was off to Sherri and Dylan's for "Italian Cooking Day"...needless to say we were stuffed when we left and then home asleep on the couch for the duration of the evening....
The dogs also got baths...Here are a few shots...Notice, Longie is in the dirt and mud after her first bath...so she got 2 baths that day. Who knew the Diva Dog wouldn't like to be clean!

My precious Snackie, sleeping after her bath..I love her soo much!

The past weekend was filled with the same things. A lot of projects around the house getting done...Kennie got "Daisy" the Dozer home finally so he can work on it at the house. I'm in major nesting mode! The baby's room is almost ready to be re decorated. I have 1 closet of office stuff organized and the other completely empty except for the baby stuff I already have. All the American flag decor from that room is going in the Florida room along with the computer. So that will be this weekends project!

This week has been very busy...Tuesday was a Lia Sophia party for my Aunt Kim who is now selling it. I'm thinking of having a party in July. Its buy 1 get, 2 at 1/2 price and its great jewelry! Yesterday was my 25th birthday, so after my great party at work, Kennie and I went down to the beach for dinner. It was a great night out! He also bought me a glider love seat for the backyard, I was totally shocked, it was a great gift! Tonight we will be going to my parents for Pizza, wings and cake for my brother and I(his b-day is the 10th)...hopefully tomorrow I can relax after work and maybe get my nails done! All in all..its been a great "birthday" week and I'm sooo blessed to have so many great people in my life to celebrate with!

"Beaner Baby" is now 16 weeks....4 months....Only 5 more to go!
