Just been in a funk!!!

So I havent blogged in awhile, like I was trying to do...So heres a recap..

Thursday night, Kennie and I took the girls down to the beach for a long walk and a picnic...they were very tired and loved the night out...I got his great shot of them on the way home...I just love this picture, and I love my girls!

Friday was an uneventful day...Kennie and I went to Walmart to get his new glasses. Its soo nice to see him in glasses that you can actually see his eyes through and are not all scratched. He too says its nice to see again. I'm sure with the amount of money he has spent over the years on glasses it would be cheaper to get laser surgery, but he just doesnt want to take the chance and he would look so weird without them!

Saturday...was a fun day. I went shopping in the morning and got my nails done...I have been dying to do it and it felt soo good! I just hate my hands without nails and I am soo enjoying them looking all nice! Chad and Rachel came up to spend the night and have dinner...Rachel and I had a great afternoon catching up and everything while the boys got there trucks ready for the mud bogg on Sunday...We had a great BBQ dinner and bon fire to finish off the night, and we were all in bed pretty early!

Sunday...everyone was up bright and early to get on the road to Rochester for the truck event...I had to go to Donovan's baptism (Stephanie and Peters new baby) I couldnt wait to meet him! As many of you probably dont know, Stephanie is my godparents daughter. She was 13 when I was born, so I spent my entire life looking up to her. We have always been close! And its totally amazing that we are going to have kids in the same year, and I'm sooo excited to watch them grow up together! The baptism went well and I was off to Rochester to meet up with everyone. It ended up being a rainy day, but very fun, even though Kennie wouldnt let me out of the truck..

The rest of the week has been pretty standard. I did get my hair done on Tuesday finally and felt better with my fresh new hair do! The weather has been really crappy, so I have been in a funk! Coming home, and right to the couch I go. But tomorrow is actually my Friday and the weather is going to get nicer out, so I'm sure I will be better by tomorrow afternoon!

On the baby news...We are 14 weeks today...I think I'm on the verge of starting to grow out, my belly is getting rounder and its not very comfortable to lay on it anymore..I still cant believe that I'm already in the 2nd trimester and feeling great!

FREE Iced Coffee Day!...May 15

Today is free iced coffee day at Dunkin Donuts! My work partner in crime, and my bestest buddie Carrie and I are obsessed with Iced Coffee from DD. We make every excuse in the book to leave work and go get one. Lucky for us, there is a DD right around the block. We usually get an Iced Caramel Latte Lites, w/2 splenda's and whip cream (Carrie gets hers w/o whip cream). We even have Brett part of our office work family in on our addiciton. So we ventured out on lunch today, we couldnt pass up the free offer! Although they were not our usual free latte's, we did get a free iced coffee and it was almost as good!

I am feeling better today, still not 100 % but actually functioning today, plus the coffee helps! You gotta have little things like that to make the work place fun!

Dazed and confused...May 14th..

Yesterday was a yuky day! I woke up with a slight headache and it just got worse as the day progressed. I found myself sitting at my desk just dazing out the window not feeling well. The headache progressed and then my ear started to hurt! I just couldnt seem to get anything accomplished! So after a long afternoon of trying to stick it out...I went home and hour early and laid on the couch with my heating pad on my face. Other than cutting coupons and watching TV nothing else really happened. I just hate days like those, I dont feel accomplished at the end of the day, which I think in turn makes me feel worse. I was just trying to be hopefull that I would feel better in the morning, because I hate missing work for sick days!

On a good note, it was Jackie's birthday (my mom) today! Although we didnt celebrate today, we did celebrate on mothers day and I did take her out to dinner on Monday. Hopefully my dad did something to make her day fun!

My new hobby!

Well it started with Kellie's blog....and now Shannon, so I've decided that I better keep up with the times and start my own. My plan when we found out I was pregnant was to write in a daily journal...well that hasn't happened. For starters, I am not a hand-written writer. I spend most of my life on a computer, so its much easier to type in a blog that actually write in an old fashion journal! I just want to make sure I document certain things that go on with the pregnancy and be able to share this with our family and friends that we don't see on a daily basis. And also document the daily hustle and bustle of life. So I hope everyone enjoys!

***Currently 12 weeks, 6 days.***

We had a doctors appointment on Friday 5/9. Everything looks perfect! We had an ultrasound, and Kennie and I were both blown away on how much the baby has changed since our last u/s on 4/4. We got to see fingers and toes and a whole bunch of movement. It was simply amazing. I think we both fell in love all over again! The appointment was at 7am, and the baby was defiantly still sleeping and lounging around, it must not be a morning person, just like its Mommy, once the tech started moving the wand around, it woke up and starting moving around, waving its hand at us. The other hand was behind its head the entire time, in what I call the "life is good" position! We were very relieved and happy to hear that everything measures normal and all my blood work came out good. We also were able to get a more u/s pictures to take home! Its going to be a long haul until 7/7, for our next u/s appt, but I'm sure time will fly and I cant wait to see all the changes again..
